Abstract

Globalization, digital technology, and socio-cultural transformation have brought significant changes to modern life, while increasing psychological and social challenges such as stress, anxiety, social alienation, and declining solidarity. In Islam, tuma’ninah (inner tranquility) and ridha (contented acceptance of Allah’s decree) are spiritual values that support psychological well-being and social resilience. This study analyzes the concepts of tuma’ninah and ridha and their contribution to strengthening social resilience through qualitative library research. Data were derived from the Qur’an, Hadith, classical Islamic works, books, journals, and contemporary studies on Islamic psychology, Sufism, and social resilience, analyzed descriptively and thematically. The findings show that tuma’ninah and ridha enhance emotional regulation, optimism, adaptive coping, empathy, tolerance, cooperation, and social responsibility. Thus, these values function not only as personal spiritual experiences but also as social assets for building resilient, harmonious, and adaptive communities.
